99 Cent Village Pizza

Th 99 Cents pizza store is a staple spot for a quick cheap bite when you are bar hopping Greenwich Village. This spot is not fancy. It's a small storefront with standing room only - it's not meant to hang out in. Yes, you will encounter some panhandlers, yes most of the people that go here are either cheap or broke (both). But if you are not looking to pay $6+ for a slice at one of the larger spots, who cares?? 99 Cents Pizza now has an extensive menu with the addition of desserts like brownies cookie, and and churros for $2.50 and under. Which I am betting caters to marijuana dispensaries nearby and the smokers looking for a late night cure for their munchies. It may be called 99 cents pizza, but the slices cost $1.50 cents now...and it still tastes like 99 cents pizza. So, temper your expectations, satiate your appetite, and save a buck.

The workers got mad at some guy and gave every other customer attitude when he left. It was mad annoying and I had to ask them to put the cheese pizza back in the over after already waiting but the pizza is fire

Pizza was okay, but menu says $2.5, we were charged $3 for a slice of sausage pizza.

This is right across the street from 99 cent fresh pizza and you can really taste the extra depth of flavour developed in the aging process. True matters of their craft! Beano!

Best $1 pizza in the area. Good selection of drinks (Coke, Fanta, Jarritos, etc...). My only complaint is that they are never open until 9pm. Maybe until 7pm but many days I walk by wanting a slice and the lights are off at 6:30pm.

Can't really complain about the taste for the price ($1.5/slice). Had Joe’s Pizza around the corner for $4/slice, which is just slightly better for more than 2x the price and they take cards, unlike Joe’s Pizza.

I am becoming a regular customer of 99 cents village pizza because of its price and quality - i love how they make their dough. But my confidence in their services slightly diminished today when one of the employees served me cold pizza. I usually order from the manager and he is very nice - plus i got what i ordered immediately fresh out of oven. But one of the employees served me cold pizza - i asked for reheat but he said it was warm enough. I had to reheat it in the microwave because they were cold and hard. Please always heat up the pizza when you serve your customers. I am still going to come back to this place like i do every lunch time. Hopefully this problem will be fixed tomorrow :)

Good pizza for the price, but not the best. I have tried Better. They offer pizza slices and pies.
